Friend of mine was willing to part with his ‘94 Miata. I sold my Mazda6 last week and got the NA yesterday. There’s a small list of mods he’s done to the car, most which just make it a more raw driving experience. So far it’s been a blast to drive. Awesome little machine. All I’ve got to do is become more proficient and driving a manual.

It’s a great car to learn manual in. You won’t find a “practice” car with a more direct-feeling shifter. Just be sure to stock up on slave cylinders.

Fuck yeah!
Welcome to the Miata club. Everyone needs to drive a Miata at least once in their life. You’ll never go back to saying a CX-5 or a Mazda3 is “like a Miata”, because no, it really is not.

Last time I drove one, it was a ‘90 or ‘91 and that was two years ago. I’ve wanted one since.

I got to borrow/watch a friend’s NA for two weeks when he went on vacation and that car was a blast. I had never driven a Miata prior to that, I’ve wanted one since. I’m tied up with modding both my car’s currently but one day I will own one.
